Feature: Buffy The Vampire Slayer

And so it begins…

We take a look back at some of our finer quotes from the Buffy cast and take a look ahead to what is next on the cards for them

Sarah Michelle Gellar – Buffy Summers

Life after Buffy The Vampire Slayer has been a whirlwind of film roles for Ms Gellar, with the films often, unsurprisingly, leaning towards the Supernatural. In 2004 she reprised her role of Daphne for the sequel to Scooby-Doo, and followed this with roles in Horror films The Grudge, The Grudge 2 and last year’s The Return.

Gellar will be a very busy bee indeed in 2007 for she has no less than six films in the pipeline. For the most anticipated of these, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she voices news reporter April O’ Neil. In The Air That I Breathe – a crime drama with a Chinese proverb – theme she stars with Kevin Bacon and Brendan Fraser, and she has recently completed filming for romantic comedy Suburban Girl. In futuristic comedy Southland Tales she stars opposite former WWE Champion Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and in the thriller Addicted (currently in post-production), Gellar stars as the wife and sister-in-law of two brothers who go into comas after a car crash, with the brother-in-law waking to think he is Gellar’s husband. Lastly, the surreal Horror-Fantasy Alice, based on the video game American McGee’s Alice, will also be out later in the year.
