Feature: PrimetimeTouching Evil
A new series from the USA Network, based on the successful British tv program and set in the FBI's Organized and Serial Crime Unit |
Based on the successful British series, the USA Network’s Touching Evil stars Jeffrey Donovan as Detective David Creegan, who returns to work with the FBI’s new Organized and Serial Crime Unit after suffering a near fatal gunshot wound to the head. It doesn’t take long for his associates to realize the incident has changed him, making him fearless, edgy and unpredictable. The show’s Executive Producer, superstar Bruce Willis, first became aware of the original series, which starred Robson Green of Soldier Soldier and Top 10 chart fame, when his producing partner, Arnold Rifkin, gave him a video of the program. “Arnold said, ‘Look at this’, and I looked at what was I guess the first English episode, and ended staying awake watching all of it.” Willis is obviously pleased that the tough and edgy drama has found its home on the USA network. “I think that networks like USA allow for a kind of television to be made that you couldn’t make twenty years ago or 10 years ago. And I think that a show like Touching Evil is far more suited to that network. I applaud the fact that the envelope continues to the pushed. I worked on TV when you could hardly do anything, and we only got away with it on Moonlighting because we were always so late ABC never saw the shows before they went on the air.” by Judy Sloane |
